The Idea

After living in London for a few months, I noticed the rumors were true; As beautiful as this city is, the sun rarely shines. Seasonal Affective Disorder, also known as "winter depression" affects one in three people throughout the UK. As I walked past the most stylish of people in wealthier areas of London, I realized there was a real opportunity to combine high - end fashion wear with scientific research.

Designed with the science of color theory, each colorful sunglasses lens is tinted to enhance certain moods and boost positivity. Elysian transforms the simple act of putting on sunglasses into a daily ritual of self - care and emotional uplift. Every pair invites you to see the world not just differently, but more beautifully.

The Build

Through extensive research on Seasonal Affective Disorder and color theory, the foundation for the Elysian design was formed. This brand’s purpose was to make wearers feel better than ever before, a fashion line that could evoke that ethereal feeling that was currently missing in such gloomy weather. 

The brand's symbol of “wings”, represents the idea of constant movement and transportation to a constant state of bliss. Combining this sharp visual with a sleek design of minimal brand colors and precise eyewear frames, our branding system ensures the trust wearers will be looking for.

The Drawing Board

The process for finalizing these designs included lots of sketching and planning. After many revisions and critiques, the “drawing board” proved to be extremely beneficial to the overall brand design outcomes.
