The Idea

While living in London, I discovered the “Cool Britannia” movement, a rebellious cultural wave of the 1990s. Spice Girls played a defining role in this era, channeling its energy through bold fashion and unapologetic, expressive lyrics.

ZigaZig is a spice line inspired by that spirit, designed to revive the same sense of rebellion, individuality, and enthusiasm the Spice Girls embodied at the height of Cool Britannia.

The Build

Beyond their music, the Spice Girls became known for a series of iconic cultural moments; From Geri Halliwell’s Union Jack dress at the 1997 Brit Awards to the global success of Wannabe and their film Spice World, this girl group cemented their influence far beyond music.

What set them apart from other groups was their vibrant Brit-Pop identity and unmistakable visual style. Each ZigaZig bottle is designed with that same intention: to stand out on the shelf. Just as each member had a distinct persona, every jar carries its own character, together reflecting the group’s impact on the Cool Britannia movement.

The Drawing Board

The labels capture the energy and attitude of the Spice Girls through expressive, sketch-like portraits. Each design offers a glimpse of a different member, paired with references to songs that best represent their individuality.
